From Within Close Quarters: Digital Download

$10.00

From within Close Quarters documents the daily poems and images from the first few weeks under “lockdown” in Paris. It is a journey of finding home and peace amidst pandemic and unknown.

from april 1 2020:

“I learned in California they’re calling it “shelter in place” rather than lockdown and “physical distancing” rather than social distancing to have more positive connotations… Finding shelter and refuge during this time rather than feeling imprisoned, and keeping a physical boundary while still remaining social in new ways. I also learned the term “pre-traumatic stress”… similar to PSTD but is being used to describe the global crisis and the emotional state of many during a time of unknowns and expecting the worse. These simple things have helped me see this time in a new light the past few days. I’ve been enjoying the beautiful light here in the halls and documenting the moments of light amidst shadows.”
