Poetry is everywhere: bring a poet to your next event!
There’s nothing I love more than sitting with my typewriter in a public space and listening to people’s stories and writing a poem that suits the season of their lives. I would love to tag along to your next celebration and document the poetry of the day. Weddings, community gatherings, bat mitzvah, birthday parties, a romantic pique-nique or some other dazzling display of humanity; I will show up with my teal Olivetti machine, a small table and fresh flower ready to document the poetry of your life as I listen and learn. Guests will go home with original personalized poems to remember the day!

Rent a Typewriter
Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and so many writers of the lost generation used typewriters to pen their famous works. There’s no greater joy than detoxing from the digital world and connecting again to the blank page. Perhaps you need a writer’s retreat? Perhaps you have a pen pal you’d like to impress, an event you’d like to bring it to or some poems or menus to type up…. whatever your reason, we will find a typewriter that best suits your needs. If you love it, perhaps you might just have to purchase it too!
Weekly rental: $30/week

The Typewriter Residency
the revolution will be typewritten.
Apply to become one of the residents of an ongoing, traveling art residency with a 1939 Remington Noiseless machine. Beginning in March, 2021, the machine has made it’s way to the mountains of Montana and continues to travel every 2-3 weeks. Poems are send back to Martinez and will eventually be curated into a publication and possible show documenting 2020
