The Cross takes us back to the Garden
Hope Curran

The beginning was beautiful.
There was a garden and everything was meant to be.
There was this thing called free will-
He created it
But we took it like an addictive pill.
We swallowed death and the story shifted
All of the beauty and comfort was lifted.
Humanity lay bare,
But the story doesn’t end there.

Jesus Christ, a man like you and me
He came to set the captives free
His love nailed him to a cross,
Our sin and betrayal was at a loss
Now we stand, in victory
His plan is for us to see eternity
The beauty that was there when it all began
Was made manifest
Through the resurrection of one man.
His blood lets love come in and flood
Our hearts are new and pure
It’s God’s son Jesus who is the one and only cure.
So come, confess
Lay it all down and rest
Come back to the garden and know
It is here you will be able to grow.

Meet my adventurous and lovely roommate Hannah... She climbs trees, uses binoculars, and has a zest for life and Jesus. Her name means Grace- she shows it abundantly.

“Stand at the crossroads and look;

    ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
