Waves and Wonders
busy |ˈbizē|
adjective (busier, busiest)
having a great deal to do:
Needless to say, I've had a great deal to do lately... I have not made time for editing dreamy photos of Big Sur or writing wordy blog posts. With the recent Isla Vista tragedy, finals, moving out of my lovely purple house, having my sister Hannah graduate, finishing my second year of college, and taking French classes at UC Berkeley (to prepare for summer abroad in Paris!!!) I've had a lot on my mind and heart. God has been good- regardless of my circumstances or busyness. He has always been good and will continue to be good from the beginning to the end of eternity.
This year has been one of extreme growth. Academically, creatively, spiritually, athletically, and relationally I have been stretched, tried, and blessed. With the business of life temporarily at ease, I wanted to take a moment to share with you one of the highlights of Spring quarter: Mother's Day weekend. My brother and I drove through Big Sur to Carmel to meet up with the rest of the Curran family. The love and joy shared in just a few days reminds me that the important things in life are not things. They are people. We are called not to live our lives as if it is our last day, but rather live them as if it is everyone around us last day. This was my biggest life lesson in this season of mourning and loss: Love the ones you have and serve each other as if it's their last day of breath. So yes, I am quite busy and hope to remain this way. There is a great deal of people I am called to love. All glory and honor to Jesus.
With love,
Hope
